This ministry meets on the 2nd Monday of each month for dinner, fellowship, and devotion. The members of this ministry maintain the church and parsonage grounds. They also host a biannual chicken dinner. The funds raised from this dinner go to support a mission family in Kenya and to help with special projects for the church.
Our church is blessed to be able to provide scholarshipes to those pursuing their educational careers through donations made by members of the congregation to our Scholarship Trust Fund.
Our youth are led by Steve Peavy and serve those in middle and high schools. They meet Sunday mornings at 9:30, Sunday afternoons at 4:00, and during the school year Wed nights 6:30-7:30. Every summer they participate in River of Life in Macon Georgia.
On Wednesday nights a fellowship supper is offered at 5:45 followed by a Bible study for adults at 6:30. Activities for children and nursery are available.
Adult Choir - Led by Dewey Anderson, the adult choir meets every Wednesday at 7:30 except in the month of July. They perform a cantata for both Easter and Christmas. Every Sunday morning they perform a special selection during the worship service.
Children's Choir - Led by Savannah Amram, the children's choir is for children as young as three. They practice Wednesdays 5:00-5:45 during the school year. They perform regularly on Sunday mornings, in the community, and two musicals a year. They often use musicial instruments such as boomwackers, handbells, maracas, and instruments they make themselves.
On Sunday mornings multiple studies are offered from 9:30-10:30. Nursery is offered for infants to age 2. The children are divided into two groups, ages 3- Kindergarten and 1st grade - 5th grade. A class is offered for middle and high school students. For adults there are three classes offered:
Gleaners - Composed of all women
Ryders - Adults of all ages
The Betweeners- Young adults with or without children
Trinity Methodist Women meet on the 1st Monday of each month for fellowship and devotion. This ministry helps support the Ronald McDonald House of Savannah by providing meals for the families staying there on the 3rd Tuesday of each month. They also help to support various church related funds, missionaries, and outreach programs.
Our church strives to spread the love of Christ to our community through programs outside of the church also.
The food pantry is available to families who find themselves in need.
The Brown Bag Ministry provides bags of food for families and individuals in Greater Chatham County that need help with food in order to make it until the next assistance check arrives.
Yearly our church has an Angel Christmas Tree. Each family or person selects an angel from the Christmas tree in order to provide a gift or gift card to children of less fortunate families. Without this ministry these families would not be able to provide Christmas for their children.
The first Friday of every month church members prepare gallon jugs of soup and/or sandwich loaves to be taken to the Savannah Inner City Night Mission in downtown Savannah.
Our Preschool is a three hours per day from 8:45-11:45 daily with options for 2, 3 and 5 days per week. The preschool Director, Ann Alberts has over 25 years of Early Education Experience and sits on the Chatham County Childcare Collaborative Advisory Board. The Preschool operates August through May. The staff pides itself in providing a safe and nurturing environment for your child to grow cognitively, spiritually, emotionally, and physically. Together the preschool and church will provide the opportunity for students and their families to know and grow, in the love of God.
Our children's ministry is led by Linda Ward and serve those 3 years through 5th grade. Sunday morning studies are offered at 9:30 throughout the year. During the school year, the children meet at 6:30 for Bible stories and crafts. Occasionally Saturday morning activites are offered. During the summer, VBS week is always a highlight.
